1st/158th Infantry Bushmasters

2024 Homecoming

The Bushmasters 1st/158th Infantry have completed their mission and are now officially home from deployment. They are currently spending much-deserved time with their family and friends. The soldiers and their family members had an emotional reunion after being separated for over 10 months, resulting in both smiles and tears.

These brave men and women served in 17 locations across seven countries for about a year, providing law and order and personal security capabilities. Despite 33 guardsmen getting wounded in the Jordan drone attack, the unit’s dedication and rigorous training ensured they responded with exceptional professionalism and bravery.

These Soldiers are important members of our community, and the community showed their support by giving them the homecoming they deserved. Many of the older soldiers from the VFW Post 3513 said that this is how it should be done—showing respect and support by welcoming them back home with open arms.

This heartwarming event was made possible with the help of various community groups, including VFW Post 3513, VFW Post 720, Military Support Foundation, AZNG Soldier and Family Readiness Group, Walmart, Home Depot, and Saguaro High School, along with many other volunteers.

Welcome Home!
